On behalf of the Board of Governance, it is our privilege to welcome you to the RUSEL School of Business & Technology (RSBT). Since our establishment in 2003, RSBT has grown into a center of academic distinction, fostering innovation, leadership and global engagement in the fields of business and technology.

Our role as the Board of Governance is to ensure that RSBT upholds the highest standards of academic excellence, ethical leadership and institutional integrity. We provide strategic oversight, policy direction and institutional accountability, ensuring that the university remains mission-driven, financially sound and globally competitive.

How the Board is Constituted

Formation of the Board of Governance

The Board of Governance at RSBT was formally constituted under the institutional charter and operates in accordance with the UK Higher Education Governance Code.

The Board comprises a blend of academic leaders, industry professionals, legal and financial experts and international advisors. Members are selected on the basis of merit, experience and a sustained commitment to educational excellence.

Together, they provide the independent judgement and strategic direction that keep the institution accountable, resilient and outward-facing.

Dr. Brian Holmes

Dr. Brian Holmes is a prominent educationalist in the United Kingdom, recognised for his significant contributions to comparative education and his role in the development of the Open University. He served as a lecturer in Education at Durham University and held various academic positions at the University of London, including Head of the Department of Comparative Education. A dedicated supervisor and seminar leader, he is remembered for his intellect and the quality of his teaching — work that laid the foundation for future educational reform and continues to influence the field today.
