Module Introduction

This module provides an advanced and integrative exploration of leadership, innovation, and change management within contemporary organisations. It is designed to equip final- year undergraduate students with the conceptual frameworks, analytical tools, and practical insights required to lead and manage innovation and change in complex, dynamic, and uncertain business environments. The module situates leadership not merely as a set of personal traits or styles, but as a relational, contextual, and strategic process that shapes organisational direction, culture, and performance. Students will critically examine classical and contemporary leadership theories, models of innovation, and structured approaches to change management, and will evaluate how these interact in real organisational settings. The module emphasises evidence-based decision- making, ethical and responsible leadership, and the role of organisational culture in 2 enabling or constraining innovation and change.
